Thank you for joining us this evening! Our stage may be dark for a while longer, but were thankful to bring the LIGHTS UP! on the arts virtually..
We hop you enjoy the performances, which will include:
🎤Acclaimed baritone and South Bend native Nathan Gunn, accompanied by his wife Julie, performing an eclectic set
🎤Selections from next year’s joint production of “West Side Story” with the South Bend Symphony, including an instrumental version of “Somewhere” by Jacqueline Choi and “Tonight” live in a remote shot from New York featuring Broadway performer and South Bend native Nicholas Belton, as well asAlexandra Imbrosci-Viera, who will be playing Maria in our show
🎤Jamarcus Fields performing a rap excerpt from “Heartless,” a powerful piece originated at the CIVIC
🎤CIVIC audience favorite Ben Little performing a scene selection highlighting the 10-year August Wilson Project
🎤Members of the casts of the CIVIC’s forthcoming (postponed until 2021) productions of Xanadu and Matilda
🎤A small group of familiar faces from CIVIC productions performing ensemble numbers, including a finale with Nathan Gunn
We believe that the arts can be healing and that live theatre brings people together like nothing else can.
Although the event is free to watch, donations will be accepted. Due to COVID-19, the CIVIC will lose more than $200,000 in box office sales. Help us keep the LIGHTS UP! at the CIVIC.
